Environmental Policy
At e-Cycle, environmental stewardship is at the heart of our business model as well as our business practices. We strive to exemplify environmental responsibility every day through our decisions and actions, and encourage it in everyone with whom we interact. To continue to work toward these important goals, we will:
- Comply with applicable local, state, and federal environmental laws and regulations
- Serve as a free resource to anyone that wishes to dispose of wireless equipment in an environmentally friendly way
- Facilitate the reuse of working wireless devices through resale
- Enable the recovery and reuse of precious metals by sending all wireless equipment that cannot be resold to a metals refinery
- Train employees on environmental issues and the environmental effects of their activities
- Educate customers, partners, and the public on the importance of wireless recycling
- Be a voice in the community in environmental discussions
- Pursue our work with a minimum of disturbance to our neighbors and the community
- Expect the same high environmental standards from all vendors and suppliers
- Continually evaluate and improve the environmental performance of our operations
- Conserve energy and water at our facility
- Choose efficient technology, appliances, and machinery
- Limit the transportation we require to operate our business by using vendors within our region, and scheduling pickups only as needed
- Reduce the waste produced through our daily operations by:
- Recycling paper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum, and tin
- Reducing the amount of paper that we use through web-based communication methods
- Choosing reusable or otherwise eco-friendly products whenever possible
- Utilizing reusable containers such as cardboard boxes and metal drums to ship materials from our facility
- Reusing packaging materials such as boxes, plastic bags, and bubble wrap
e-Cycle is devoted to maintaining high environmental performance and will ensure that the commitments laid out in this policy are always considered of the utmost significance. To this end, we will monitor our progress and review our performance on an annual basis. |
